Unlike traditional gins, it is distilled from organic Scottish barley and infused with a blend of ten botanicals, including locally foraged plants, to create a distinct and aromatic profile. Distillery History:

Nc'nean Distillery, founded in 2017 by Annabel Thomas, is located in Drimnin on the Morvern peninsula in the Scottish Highlands. The name "Nc'nean" is derived from "Neachneohain," the Gaelic Queen of Spirits, reflecting the distillery's ethos of producing spirits in harmony with nature. Nc'nean is Scotland's first certified organic whisky distillery, committed to sustainable practices and environmental responsibility.

The distillery operates with a focus on renewable energy, utilizing a biomass boiler fueled by local woodchip and 100% renewable electricity. They have achieved net-zero carbon emissions for their operations and use 100% recycled glass bottles to reduce their environmental impact. Nc'nean also practices zero-waste production, recycling or reusing 99.97% of their waste materials.

In addition to their commitment to sustainability, Nc'nean embraces innovation in their distillation processes. They utilize longer mashing times, slower fermentation, and experiment with unusual yeasts to create distinctive and high-quality spirits.
