History:
Hamish Robertson & Co. Ltd. was established in Glasgow in 1970 as a blender and bottler of Scotch whisky. The company produced several brands, including Consulate, King’s Crown, and Highland Reserve. While the company ceased trading, the Highland Reserve brand was revived in 2010 and is now part of Quality Spirits International's export portfolio, a subsidiary of William Grant & Sons.
It's worth noting that there is some conflicting information regarding the company's founding date, with some sources suggesting an establishment year of 1852. However, the 1970 founding date is more widely recognized in industry references.
