Distillery History: 

Founded in 1839 by Alexander Matheson, The Dalmore Distillery is located in Alness, Scotland, in the Highlands region. Matheson established the distillery with the vision of producing high-quality Scotch whisky, taking advantage of its proximity to the fertile lands of the Cromarty Firth and the pure water sources of Loch Morie.

Key Milestones in Dalmore's History:

  1. 1867: The Mackenzie family took ownership of the distillery, shaping its legacy. The family crest, featuring the iconic 12-point stag, became the symbol of Dalmore after a clan leader saved King Alexander III in 1263. This emblem remains on every bottle.
